   Hiroshima University is one of the main academic centers in Western Japan and attracts students from all over Japan. Beside the 12 faculties and schools, there are 11 graduate schools that offer master’s and doctoral degree courses: Letters, Education, Social Sciences, Biomedical & Health Sciences, Science, Advanced Sciences of Matter, Engineering, Biosphere Science, International Development and Cooperation, Integrated Arts and Sciences, and Law.
