INACAP is a Higher Education system that provides technical-professional training –through the INACAP Technical Training Center and the INACAP Professional Institute– and that is present in university work, through the INACAP Technological University of Chile. Each of these institutions has its own Mission and share Institutional Values.
The INACAP Higher Education System and the INACAP Technical Training Organization –dependent on the INACAP Professional Institute– are present, through its 27 Headquarters, in the 16 regions of the country.
INACAP is a private, non-profit corporation. Its Board of Directors is made up of members elected by the Confederation of Production and Commerce (CPC), the National Private Corporation for Social Development (CNPDS) and the Technical Cooperation Service (SERCOTEC), a subsidiary of CORFO.
INACAP was established in 1966 with the aim of training Chilean workers. The needs of economic development, added to the lack of a technical education offer in Chile in those years, made the creation of a more professionalized training system imperative.
More than 50 years later, we continue with this work and we are leaders in the training of the country's workers. But in these years, we have also expanded our work to satisfy, and often anticipate, the new demands of an increasingly competitive country, developed and inserted in the world.
We have become the largest Higher Education institution in Chile, with a wide range of technical and professional careers. The spirit that moves us has not changed in these years: to help Chileans develop their work and professional potential, and thus contribute to the growth of our country.
