Yukon College will become Yukon University in spring 2020 – Canada’s first university north of 60. YukonU will be a hybrid institution, offering a pathway for every learner, with undergraduate degrees, diplomas and certificates, including Business Administration, Early Learning and Child Care, Liberal Arts, ESL and Science programs relevant for life and work in the North.

Language Proficiency Requirements

Accept Native English
IELTS: 6 - 6.5, TOEFL iBT: 72 - 86(Prerequisite)

We require 79 for iBT TOEFL. Current IELTS requirement is overall 6.0 with no lower than 5.5 in each section in academic testing. All students will need to take academic writing level test on arrival and they may be required to take one English writing course if they do not meet our requirement.
