List of study programs that are open for international exchanges
・General education courses taught in Japanese or English which are offered to the Study Abroad Program students by the Faculty of Letters, Economics, Business Administration, Law, Sociology, Regional Development Studies, Global and Regional Studies, and International Tourism Management.
・Japanese language and culture courses
(Students should have mastered hiragana and katakana characters completely before arriving in Japan if they would like to take the Japanese language and culture program (NEST).)
・Japanese language proficiency is not required if students only take courses taught in English.
・Consultation regarding courses is conducted by academic advisors twice a year (April and September)
・Japanese cultural events for international students (Summo experience, Rice planting, Home stay program etc.)

・Program duration is tentative. (Our academic calendar for 2021 will be determined in early September, 2020.)
・Program B fee
Application fee: 10,000 JPY at the time of the application (Application fee is non refundable.)
Tuition: 500,000 JPY /semester
Application fee is non refundable.
If a student withdraws before the program, the tuition will be refunded to the student.
If a student begins the program and then withdraws, the tuition for that semester will not be refunded. However, in the case of a 2-semesters student whose withdrawal is accepted by Toyo in the first semester, the tuition for the second semester will be refunded to the student.

|Language Proficiency Requirements||
Accept Native English
No language requirement for courses taught in English and the Japanese language and culture courses (NEST program). Students who have passed N1 or N2 of the Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT) can take the courses taught in Japanese.

JASSO scholarship (80000JPY/month) might be available.
Off Campus dormitories are available. If the number of students exceeds the spots students may need to find housing.

|Visa Process||Study Abroad Program students are required to obtain a Certificate of Eligibility and a visa for entering Japan.
＊Certificate of Eligibility：After you submit your completed application for Certificate of Eligibility (COE) and related documents such as financial supporting documents to Toyo University, Toyo will apply for your COE to a relevant immigration bureau. We then send the COE to your address.
＊Visa： A visa should be obtained in a Japanese diplomatic office in your home country.
