General Information

Host Institution

The University of Asia in the Pacific (UA&P) began in 1967 as the Center for Research and Communication (CRC), a think tank conducting research and offering graduate courses in economics and management. CRC started small and inconspicuous, but gradually expanded its educational activities. In 1995, it was awarded university status and has since been known as the University of Asia and the Pacific.


Through a powerful combination of liberal arts and professional specialization, the UA&P places due emphasis on the individual. With our brand of whole person education amidst the working climate where adaptability is key, our graduates stand firm, knowing every facet of their being can be fully utilized.


UA&P offers programs at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels. It also offers professional short programs that cater to mid to high ranking executives. The University continues to undertake high-level, interdisciplinary research, and offer its expertise to both the public and private sectors. Our areas of strength are: Applied Mathematics, Business Administration, Child Development and Education, Entrepreneurial Management, Human Capital Development, Humanities, Industrial Economics, Industrial Engineering, Integrated Marketing Communications, Information Technology, Management, Media and Entertainment Management, and Political Economy.


Currently, UA&P has over 2,000 enrolled students and around 8,000 alumni.

  • UA&P may recommend the students to stay in condo-hotels in either Millenia Suites or at Exchange Regency Residences. These residences offer weekly cleaning and change of beddings, and daily trash collection. Should those two not fit the students' requirements, UA&P has a list of accredited landlords which Exchange Students may consider.

Visa Process

Additional documents will be required from you once you apply for a Special Study Permit (SSP) and a Student Visa at the Philippines’ Bureau of Immigration. The Registrar’s Office of UA&P shall assist you in securing an SSP. Do keep in mind that the SSP is different from a Student Visa or Visa Extension.
