The Autonomous University of Hidalgo State, is commonly known as UAEH for the initials of its name in Spanish, Universidad Autónoma del Estado de Hidalgo. It is a public university located in Pachuca, the capital of the State of Hidalgo, in east-central Mexico. The university was initially founded in 1869. It is the oldest, largest, and most respected research university in the state of Hidalgo. The main campus is in historic central Pachuca, and several satellite campuses are in other parts in Hidalgo state.
